Join believers from over 30 different groups throughout the San Francisco region, SSF, Daly City, Marin County, and Oakland that meet each week in an organized study of the Bible. BSF International is the largest grassroots multinational Christian discipleship movement in the world with a mission to teach how to understand the Bible through direct, first-hand study and exploration of God's Word.
Each group is led by seasoned Christian lay-leaders from various Bible-believing churches of various denominations

BSF uses a systematic, moderated method of learning using study materials that help structure your analysis of the Biblical text as you discuss the week's lesson in discussion groups.

Question, Discuss, Listen and Learn.

We use a four-fold approach to study the Bible:

1) QUESTION: Every week, you will read the assigned reading from the Bible and answer a few questions based on the details in the passage.

2) DISCUSS: In your discussion group, enjoy fellowship with people coming from various regional churches in your area. Share your answers with them and listen to how they may have thought about and answered those questions. New questions might arise providing new avenues for conversation that deepen understanding of the Scriptures.

3) LISTEN: Listen to a short talk provided by a trained Bible teacher about the passage, and as you do so...

4) LEARN: Supplement your personal notes with additional insights, including clarifications on areas of doctrine and theology, or ideas about how to apply the principles directly in your walk with Christ.

After a few weeks, you should see the God's Word come alive in meaning and significance as you glean new insights to enrich your spiritual journey with Jesus Christ.

Our Venue - Tuesday nights at 7pm (Groups Meet Online 2022-23)

Due to COVID 19, our regular face-to-face meetings have temporarily moved online until further notice.

Under normal circumstance, our Study Groups meet at various locations throughout the City. Our main location for adults and children is at First Baptist Church in San Francisco on Tuesday nights. There are several satellites locations throughout the city and the Peninsula; locations are HERE.

New members are normally oriented at our main location downtown in Hayes Valley where they can meet with staff and get to get familiar with the curriculum materials. However, due to Covid Restrictions, new registrants are assigned a group leader before joining a group meeting. When face to face meetings resume, we will gather at our venue host FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, at 22 Waller Street, corner of Market Street. Look for the BSF Welcome Sign on the ground floor side entrance on Octavia Street. All meeting updates will be available on this website as well as by email.
